About Me

I am Andre Timokhin and I am a Computer Geek.

I have worked in the computer field since 1998. Since the beginning of my career I have held many titles: Sr Web Developer, Software Engineer, Search Engine Optimization Specialist, Systems Administrator, Infrastructure Manager to name a few.

Currently I manage an IT Department for a company with approximately 60 users. I am responsible for uptime and operations of all current IT Infrastructure along with all technology initiatives for a rapidly growing and expading business. In the last year my company underwent a merger, a physical location move of 25 users, and a full Telephony upgrade project.

In my previous roles, I functioned primarily as a Software Engineer using creativity, ingenuity, patience, persistence and open source tools such as PHP, Apache, MySQL, and Linux to create high impact ecommerce applications. I have addressed such needs as development, SEO, Tracking and Analytics, and A/B Testing for several organizations.

I found the Internet at a very early age, back when world wide web, as we know it today, didn't exist. Back in the day of 1400 baud modems and dial up bulletin board systems. I built my first computer from scratch at the age of 12, mind you back then this was not as simple of a task as it is today. Several years back I took a short break from my IT career to expand my people skills. I noticed early in my career that there was a stigma that followed the techy guys, we were automatically assumed to have no personality, to be natural introverts, and I wanted to make sure that I have highly developed people skills to make it all the way to the top.
